We at Orion Group are currently recruiting a Sales Strategy Manager on behalf of one of our Multinational Pharmaceutical Client in Buckinghamshire on an initial 12 month contract.
The Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing our current in store performance against the set key metrics within Availability, Visibility and Promotions. They will design and deploy initiatives to grow our macro category and accelerate our NTS growth and share through systematically step changing the in-store presence of our brands, across all trade channels.
This Perfect Store Analytics Manager role ensures delivery of the Program by monitoring Perfect Store initiatives, owning the Northern Europe (UK, Nordics and Ireland) Perfect Store dashboard, and providing regular management updates at UK, Northern Europe and Global levels. The successful candidate will need strong project management skills as well as advanced analytical skills. The ability to diligently track initiatives and constructively challenge key stakeholders to reap most value from the Program will also be critical.
Key responsibilities
Drive Perfect Store initiative implementation, report on progress and key milestones, and flag blockers and potential solutions early:
Drive Perfect Store delivery by managing initiative implementation with market leads
Lead updates to management by co-ordinating status updates from initiative owners
Lead contact for 3rd party field sales team. Managing agency relationship and agreed action standards. Liaising with their analytics team to ensure consistency of KPI measurement. Identifying the "so what's" following retail advisor visits and how they relate to monthly audit results. Co-ordinating J&J Head Office briefings with CDMs.
Lead in-store measurements for N. Europe to track progress on Perfect Store KPIs:
Own N. Europe dashboard delivery on a timely and accurate basis
Lead N. Europe contact for monthly audit store checks for the UK with service providers (Be My Eye/Trax & feet on street agency)
Challenge store check measurements and unveil outliers/ errors and recommend actions
Review data delivery for N. Europe as required to optimize automation
Co-ordinate with regional and global owners of the Perfect Store dashboard (provide updates, ad-hoc deep-dive analyses etc.) Create and update N. Europe Perfect Store report for key management meetings
Work with N. Europe analytics team to link KPI performance with business outcomes
Support account teams with understanding the data
Drive Perfect Store annual opportunity sizing and ambition-setting process:
Lead teams to define next year's ambition
Collect and challenge team's plans, ambition level to reap maximum potential
Update size of prize and NTS breakdown per retail environment
Deliver continuous improvements to drive increased accuracy and clarity of opportunities
Develop improved tools to streamline the ambition setting process and reroute focus to designing robust targets
Assessing Distribution & Integrating Perfect Store into Other Business processes
Conduct ongoing assessment of distribution opportunities outside of annual process by updating deserved distribution reports
Integrate MSL's into other workstreams as needed, such as MSL+/Greenlight.
Be instrumental in the design and roll out of the Triple Win Tool collaborating with expert teams and agencies to deliver this.
Own budget management for our agencies and also the supplier negotiation. Look for opportunities to create further efficiencies / improved data reads.
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. High levels of intellectual capacity and curiosity.
Strong project management skills – the ability to play an active role in monitoring progress of initiative and challenging teams to reap most potential
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Business experience, with understanding of both J&J internal dynamics and customer dynamics
Experience in vendor management/ negotiations with service providers
Strong, proven analytical skills to:
Own KPIs definitions
Challenge store checks output
Provide analytical reports based on dashboard results, identify drivers of performance, inter-dependencies and suggest actions
Support account and category teams with deep-dive analyses in their preparations for the account negotiations
Own Size of Prize and NTS models
Have excellent Nielsen data knowledge
Advanced Excel user, basic knowledge of Tableau and VBA is a plus
