We are one of the largest, best known Animal Health companies in the industry and our products are known globally.
We are looking to recruit an Analytical Chemist to join us on an initial 12 month contract.
You will be responsible for a range of QC analysis including spectrophotometric Analyses (FTIR, UV/VIS), TOC and you will also perform a range of Wet Chemistry techniques including microwave digestions and complexometric titrations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* To support analytical method validation / improvements and method transfers between sites.
* Drive change management for changing product specifications, supporting Regulatory with changes to product testing.
* Assist with routine analysis if required.
* Analytical Chemistry method validation / improvements and test transfer between labs/sites.
* Drive change management for introduction of new / improved methods and validation of new equipment.
* Be able to produce technical documents such as protocols, testing and execution plans and final reports.
* Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and be able to prioritise.
* Liaise with several departments – technical support groups, QA, Regulatory to drive project completion and deliver on milestones.
* The candidate will be required to report all laboratory activities in a clear, organised manner, in the form of reports, following the standard operating procedures.
* Good understanding and ability to perform efficient lab investigations arising from deviations or invalid/atypical results.
* Additionally, the candidate may be required to support laboratory investigations, perform troubleshooting exercises and participate in proof of principle studies.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience gained within a Pharmaceutical QA / Analytical position
* Experience in Analytical Chemistry techniques is essential. You should have a sound understanding of basic scientific principles.
* Spectrophotometric Analyses (FTIR, UV/VIS), TOC
* Wet Chemistry techniques including microwave digestions and complexometric titrations
* GMP Compliance
* Biological testing such as ELISAs, gel electrophoresis preferred
* Lead Validation and method development
* Raw Materials testing including pharmacopoeia
* Laboratory investigations
* Degree in Applied Chemistry
* Fluent in English Speaking / writing
* Full Drivers Licence
