Operations Manager – BioMed

Salary – £35,000 – £45,000

Location: National – will be remotely based

Consumer Health-Tech business with recent investment to support rapid growth
London HQ with offices in 2 other global locations
Operations / Logistics Specialist role – bringing expertise in operational management

The Role:

The Operations manager will report to the Country MD and be responsible for implementing operations and logistics procedures in the UK function. Key success factors are:

Improve relationship or identify new packaging partners.
Decrease COGS
Implement operational support
Improve supply chain timescales.

The company have an existing operations & logistics team based in Europe, but that team will have limited operational input to the UK. This role will however work closely with internal teams and focused on reviewing current operations, logistics and quality procedures, looking at ways to streamline and improve.

This role is a senior position within the organisation but needs someone to be both strategic in their approach as well as having the ability and desire to get their hands dirty in the day-to-day tactics.

This role therefore requires an expert knowledge of operations or logistics – proven track record of pipeline planning, process description, development, and implementation. A big focus will be looking at existing logistics and packaging partners – how can this relationship be improved, identify new partners to increase efficiencies.

Responsibilities for the position of Operations Manager:

Logistics; manage and track shipments, as well as maintain relationship between the business and the chosen logistics partner.
Operations; Stock levels, relationships with supplies, create analytical reports on inventories, turnaround times.
Monitoring other market options of suppliers in order to decrease cost and improve turnaround times
Quality control
Improve and automate current processes and procedures.

To be considered for the role of Performance Marketing Manager you must have:

3 years plus experience in operations and/or logistics
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Experience in automation of processes, scaling, improving efficiency.
Stock / inventory management experience
Familiarity with genetic/chemistry/biology laboratory processes and experience in biomed industry is preferred.

The Company:

The company have been around for a few years now but following recent investment from a big pharmaceutical business, with a passion for 'at home testing' products they are in fast scale mode.

They now have 60 employees across the world with 35 of those people being employed in the last 6 months.

The Package for Operations Manager:

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000
Competitive – % of revenue growth achieved.

Location: The position of Operations manager will be based remotely, however, would require occasional travel into Central London
