Description of duties
*Manage caseload of acutely stroke patients and medical patients within the Acute Stroke Unit, independently carrying out assessments and rehabilitation (individual and group sessions), working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.
*Participate in the development and monitoring of services.
*Supervise junior staff.
Specific skills required
*NHS experience, preferably in an acute/neuro setting
*Assessment and management techniques for neurological conditions, particularly acute stroke care
*Effective communication skills (verbal/written) in multi-disciplinary setting and ability to deal with patient/junior staff challenges.
*Very good organisation/time/work-load and priorities management and analytical ability
*Computer literate
