2 x Laboratory Technicians required for an ASAP start

6 Month FTC

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm

The Role:

* Conducting laboratory processes and procedures across a wide range of UK Biocentre projects.

* Perform work as directed by the Senior Laboratory Technicians.

* Compliance with laboratory procedures (e.g. use of SOP’s).

* Adherence to quality standards.

* Compliance with ISO and Health and Safety documentation and procedures.

* Maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory.

* Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment (manual and automated systems).

Criteria:

* Ideally a foundation degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent

* The ability to listen and clearly demonstrate understanding of ideas and instructions.

* The ability to plan, organise and control a number of different activities.

* Sets and maintains high standards for self.

* Ensures the required high quality standards are consistently met.

* The ability to work unsupervised, follow process and adhere to SOPs

* Thrive in a team environment.

* Must have a collaborative style both in approach to own area and supporting others

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Previous scientific laboratory experience advantageous

* IBMS Certificate of Achievement advantageous.

* Previous experience as a Medical Laboratory/Biomedical Assistant advantageous.

* Previous experience of working in line with the requirements of ISO9001:2015 and ISO27001:2013 advantageous
