Our client, a leading Pharmaceutical Developer and Manufacturer are seeking Lab Technician to join their team.
 
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing and testing of intermediate and finished products in accordance with GMP, dossier and where relevant, as per pharmacopoeia requirements.
 
Role Responsibilities

Microbiology testing and training of personnel (Bioburdens, plate reading, sterility testing, growth promotion and Inactivation’s) in accordance with SOP’s.
Support the Micro team leader in efficient planning of lab tasks and supervising routine activities. Implement improvement ideas in liaison with other team members.
Ensure all activities are lab activities are performed in compliance with GMP, MSD’s Quality Manual and pharmacopeia.
Release of batches is in accordance with lead times, escalating any potential impact to supply.
Update SOP's and other GMP documents ensuring they are current and relevant.
Promote safety within the laboratory areas, by raising safety observations, ensuring correct signage and maintaining COSHH documentation to prevent or reduce unnecessary exposure to hazardous substances.
Lead cross functional investigations and support other lab technicians in complex deviations and CAPA’s.
SAP – ensure timely completion of results in SAP and up to date specifications for microbiology lab tests. 
Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Microbiology
Experience in a Microbiology laboratory
Sound knowledge of GMP and related Quality Systems
Sound understanding of conducting OOS/OOT investigations
Multiple stakeholder liaison across different functions in a corporate environment.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Protocol and Report writing
