Are you an experienced application specialist or a driven Biomedical Scientist with Haematology experience? Are you capable of reading and understanding scientific and technical documentation? Do you have excellent communication skills and demonstrable customer service experience?

You will need to be based within an hour of the Milton Keynes office and able to attend the office 3 days a week, with the other days travelling across the UK.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join a market leading healthcare and diagnostics supplier as a Haematology Application Specialist. This scientific position is responsible for assisting new and existing customers via telephone, email and face to face visits with the training, installation and validation of their instruments. The successful candidate will:

· Customer training, support, and installation of new equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

· Troubleshooting queries as a follow-on to telephone support

· Joint visits with Haematology Technical Manager or Field Service Engineer to support technical investigations that require Application Specialist knowledge.

· Verification of newly installed equipment and provision of a report in line with laboratory standards.

· Software upgrades; including instrumentation developments and application updates

Skills:

BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science or Similar

Greater than 2 years' experience in a laboratory environment or Agenda for Change band >=5

A good depth in haematology experience

Technical and logical problem-solving capability.

Reading and understanding of scientific and technical documentation.

Good communicator / negotiator

Good organisational skills

Full Driving Licence
