Palliative Care Assistant Required

Flexible working schedule – full/part time available
 
I am currently seeking dedicated and experienced Health Care Assistants to join a community-based project based in Hertfordshire. With winter pressures approaching the service is going to get busier and busier and has opened its doors to welcome a new team of staff.
 
The service is set up by a Hospice and provides end of life care to patients within the comfort of their own homes. The service has been running for four years and many of the carers who work on the project have been there since day one. If you are successful in your application, you will be working with a close-knit team of staff who have extensive experience and knowledge in this field. Patient's care will include personal care, prompting medication, physical and emotional support for each patient within the comfort of their own home.
 
The working schedule is flexible for either a part time or full-time with a variation of shift patterns:
 
08:00-14:30 (Early)
15:30 20:00 (Late)
08:00 20:00 (Long day)
 
As the Hospice's caseload is growing, we are becoming increasingly busy with availability for early, late, and long day shifts available seven days per week.
 
Requirements:
It is essential that you are a car driver and have access to your own vehicle
You must have experience within the care sector
You must be compassionate and friendly
You must also be reliable and dedicated to the role
 
Compliance required:
Face to face Manual Handling & Life Support training (this can be set up for you)
Enhanced DBS (on the update service)
Online training (we can set this up for you)
