We're currently seeking Cold Storage Equipment – Temperature Mapping Technician based in Milton Keynes to work within a state of the art, high output diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UK's NHS Test and Trace programme.

Your responsibilities:
As a Cold Storage Equipment – Temperature mapping Technician you will be responsible will be responsible for the management of the temperature mapping requirements of Covid-19 Cold Storage Equipment (CSE) using a set of calibrated dataloggers. This involves the mapping of new CSE as part of the Operational (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) requirements for Validation, as well as annual re-validation existing of CSE. CSE currently includes refrigerated cold rooms, walk-in -20⁰C freezer, small refrigerators, and a variety of freezers from -15⁰C to -80⁰C. This may be expanded to include mapping of -196⁰C liquid nitrogen storage vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the calibration status of the dataloggers
Your experience:
-Proven experience of writing and maintaining relevant, controlled, documentation, including SOPs and training records.
– Understanding the workings of CSE.
– Proven experience of working cross-functionally with other areas.
– Must be an excellent communicator, both spoken and written.
– Sets and maintains high standards for self and takes necessary action to correct problems or issues.
– Works with minimal supervision and reports on progress through both formal and informal channels.
– Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively.
– Pro-active, with strong administration and planning skills.
– Proficient working with IT systems; experience of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
– Confident communicator with polite and professional attitude to work.
– Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
– Ability to horizon-scan potential areas for business development.
– Full, clean, UK driving licence.
Education:
Minimum of NVQ level 3 education
F-Gas certification, degree in scientific or medical environment with knowledge of temperature mapping equipment desirable, as is experience working within ISO 15189, 17025 and/or 20387
