Job title – Laboratory Technician (Biology)
Location – Milton Keynes, MK9 1LA
Salary – Inside IR35, Up to £(Apply online only) per day depending on experience
Duration – Initial 12-month contract/Full-time

A global pharmaceutical company is looking for a Laboratory Technician for Biological testing within the quality control department at their Milton Keynes site. As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Performing testing of intermediate and finished products in accordance with GMP, dossier and where relevant, as per pharmacopoeia requirements.
* Biology Testing (bioburdens, plate reading, sterility testing, growth promotion, inactivation, campylobacter, identification, and cell count) in accordance with SOP’s.
* Providing competency training or testing guidance to new team members.
* Liaising with other professionals regarding the development, manufacturing and testing of pharmaceutical products.
* Ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with GMP, quality guidelines and pharmacopeia.
* Performing and trending environmental monitoring and water testing.
* Updating SOP's, and Specs ensuring they are current and relevant to updated in order to minimise time taken to release batches, eradicating unnecessary delays.
* SAP – ensuring timely completion of results in SAP and up to date specifications for microbiology lab tests.
* Recording of test results.
* Initiating events in the system, performing laboratory investigation, and supporting Manufacturing/Laboratory cross functional investigations.
* Stock check completion and ordering of consumables to ensure Biology testing can continue.
* Completion of CAPA for investigations.
* Completion of SOP and SPF updates.
* Participating in Change controls.
* Participating in cross functional meetings with Internal or External stakeholders.
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician who has the following skills and experiences:
* Degree in related Science Discipline
* Basic biology knowledge.
* MS Word and Excel.
* Protocol and Report writing.
* Ability to troubleshoot resolve issues.
* Ability to communicate at all levels and across all functions.
* Ability to communicate concise technical information with clarity.
* Good Time Management in a high flow through laboratory.
* Flexible approach to changing priorities.
* Attention to detail.
