8b Clinical Psychologist – Eating Disorder – Buckinghamshire – Up to £45 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist for our client's adult eating disorder team in Buckinghamshire.
In this role as a successful candidate you will ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist psychological service to patients and carers with complex mental health problems including severe/extreme and longstanding eating and co-morbid disorders, and challenging behaviour.

Supportive teamThe role has been described as follows;
To provide specialist expertise within the adult community eating disorders service
To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients referred to the service.
To supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy (e.g. CBT-ED, MANTRA) provided by other Band 7 and 8A psychologists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the community eating disorders service.
To take a lead in coordinating specialist therapeutic activity (particularly CBT-ED) within the team and participate in disseminating skills to the wider service.
To utilise skills for audit and research.
To propose and implement policy and service developments (including transformation projects, implementation of Provider Collaborative initiatives, preparation for QED reviews, improvements of psychological care pathways across in, day and outpatient services) as relevant and in collaboration with other members of the operational and clinical leadership team (including the consultant psychologist). Essential requirements:
Must be with registered with professional body
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Must be qualified as a Psychologist
