We are seeking a Product Manager for a company that has an outstanding reputation in its industry; its products and solutions use the latest technologies and innovation to facilitate efficient management of the UK’s waste-water and clean water networks as well the UK’s gas distribution network.
Product Manager – Candidate requirements
* At least 5 years' experience working as a product manager in a compnay that manufactures electronic/software-based sensory products from initial concept to end of life
* Experience in the utilities or engineering sectors that work within SMART sensors, telemetry equipment, data acquisition, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
* A degree in a relevant subject is preferred
* Must have the ability to lead and build a strong go to market plan with successful execution
* A high level of expertise in White Paper & Use cases
* Competent in writing product articles
* Marketing skills including SaaS, digital, social and media content creation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate engineering terms into layman style documentation
* Ability/experience working with technical writing tools
* Full UK driving license
Product Manager – Role overview
* Developing products through insights from market research and customer buying behaviour
* Defining the key features, specifications and requirements of the product based on customer preferences
* Establishing strategies for product pricing and positioning
* Managing the budgets of multi-disciplinary teams involved with product development
* Conducting competitor research to learn more about customers’ needs
* Performing profit analysis and forecasting to develop or improve product marketing strategies
* Creating project timeline and implementation schedules
* Identifying and approaching potential distributors
* Practising discretion when discussing the production roll-out and maintaining confidentiality
* Assisting with product launches and marketing campaigns. Take full responsibility for the brand, communications and marketing strategies
* Manage all digital marketing channels including social media, website and white papers
* Devise content, campaign marketing and launch plans to target a variety of audiences across multiple channels
* Copywriting and content management
* Creation of Collateral Sales Tools and Training manuals including Product Videos (features, UI, plugin)
* Value sales guides and support channel sales training
* The successful candidates home location is flexible as there will be an element of flexible/agile working but this is not a home/remote-working position. As a result, regular travel & overnight stays will be a part of the role if the candidates location dictates it
Product Manager – Benefits Package
* £60,000 to £80,000pa
