Marketing Manager & Events (Maternity Cover 12-month fixed contract)
This role is Maternity cover and the ideal candidate will support the Brand Manager in the execution of Marketing activities including promotions, PR, print mailings, advertising, partnerships & events. This is an exciting role as part of a busy Brand Communications team.
Key responsibilities
Support the Brand Manager in the implementation and development of major planned promotional activities including but not limited to season launch promotions, mid-season sale bounce backs, voucher books and retail events (anniversaries, shopping days)
Lead on all event planning and execution, ensuring integration with wider marketing strategy and plans
Evaluate and report the effectiveness of campaigns to the Marketing Manager on a monthly basis.
Work with the Brand manager to search out, present and manage press opportunities, send outs and placement of product in regional and national publications
Manage day-to-day relationships with brand partnerships and ambassadors
Work with the Brand Manager to identify online and offline advertising opportunities and create, propose and manage the advertising schedule.
Help support the digital team with curating and generating content
Budget management of relevant areas
Provide general help, advice and assistance, both internally and externally, on any Marketing issues, as required.
The jobholder will need to determine their own work priorities on a day-to-day basis and will be expected to work both on their own as well as collaboratively with key stakeholders and colleagues.
Skills & Capabilities
Marketing or relevant degree 2:1 or equivalent
At least 4-year experience of working within a marketing consumer brand
Understanding of brand communications, content strategy and TOV
Organisational skills – able to work on multiple projects at once
A passion for the outdoors and travel.
To be proficient in PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
Written communication skills to the highest standard
Enthusiasm and willingness to go above and beyond
Strong communicator and team player
Stakeholder Management/ interpersonal skills – to work effectively with a number of departments
