My client are currently recruiting for a Market Analyst who is educated to degree level and has experience in writing economic commentary on commodities. The successful candidate will be a vital member of the Intelligence team and be a subject matter expert on both market insight and current events within the industry.

Key responsibilities:

* Interpreting market research data, formulating insight and making recommendations based upon research findings

* Creating the deliverables across oilseeds and plastic packaging; including forecast reports, media articles, client queries, etc

* Interpreting commodity pricing data and external drivers to forecast commodity prices

* Delivering best practices

* Leading projects successfully, managing the team on projects and playing a key role in

* developing client relationship

* Providing commodity insight/data for the company’s online platform and participating in new product development projects

* Providing commodity insight to media channels

* Presenting commodity insight to internal and external stakeholders i.e. participating in client calls and presentations

* Building and maintaining contacts in the industry, and collating information from key industry participants

* Performing primary and secondary market analysis

* Delivering continuous improvement in market knowledge

* Continually challenging, refining and improving operational processes to achieve improvement in productivity and quality of service

* Proactively thinking about how to improve the team's profile through the content delivered

* Showing strategic thought leadership on how the company’s deliverables can reach a wider audience

Education & Experience:

* University degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or in a similar numeric field

* Minimum 3 years’ experience of the commodities market, mainly in the physical agricultural markets
