Business Manager – Retail / Field marketing Agency – £50,000+

A multinational field marketing and retail services agency, with offices in Europe and the UK. They are looking for a candidate to join our the UK office as a Business manager.
With a growing a client base in the UK, they are looking for an experienced, proactive and dynamic Manager to join them and set up a new business unit for Customer Activation and in store promotors. With a strong and proven track record in successfully establishing and managing field marketing and brand ambassador teams, the Client Services Manager will report to the EU General Manager and UK Managing Director, and from time to time will work closely with the field marketing teams in the Milan and Madrid offices. Given the ongoing Covid situation, you can expect the initial months to be building relationships with new prospective clients, which will include warm brand leads from existing clients in the EU as well as any relationships you can bring. They have a focus on Consumer Electronics & Tech brands, so any experience or interest in this sector is beneficial.
Responsibilities will include:
Structuring and organising the new promotion teams – coordinating the recruitment and training of resources and team members and implementing logical, workable solutions, processes and tools;
Defining the scope of work for promotional programmes including producing briefs and communicating the aims, tasks and outcomes to team(s) so as to successfully deliver projects;
Drafting, monitoring and reporting on targets, outputs and project budgets;
supporting the sales and management team in responding to tenders / proposal writing and drafting client offers;
Managing negotiations and finalising service contracts;
Managing and nurturing relationships with existing and newly acquired customers
support colleagues across the business with any other duties commensurate with the post as determined by the UK Managing Director.
Be able to confidently brief a staffing agency, with the aim in the medium term to grow an in-house UK book of contacts.
Key Personal experience:
Proven track record within field marketing, successfully promoting brands / delivering engaging field sales strategies
Thorough and sound understanding of the values and methods used in brand messaging, with a passion to drive brand awareness and enhance product / service visibility;
Project control, risk management, budgeting and planning skills;
Strong experience of successfully structuring and overseeing complex commercial offers relating to service contracts;
Strong experience in retail execution and engagement contracts and procurement documentation
Organisational and managerial skills of significant field team sizes across multiple sites
Forward thinking team player and inspirational leader who can coach and motivate target driven teams
Ability to develop, collate and report on key performance indicators based on team's results
Thorough knowledge of H&S, HR, recruitment and training processes for brand ambassadors (e.g. sales promoters, merchandisers, etc.).
Trustworthy and flexible with a positive outlook and attitude
Strong customer focussed approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
IT literate
