The ideal candidate will successfully lead the marketing team in the delivery of creative and commercial communication, supporting the growth of the business across all channels. You will also support the Marketing Director to strengthen the brand and increase customer appeal, engagement and transactions.
The main resposibilities of the role are;
Responsible for the creation, execution and reporting of marketing strategies and seasonal campaigns across all channels, mainly print and windows, while maximising the digital opportunity.
Creatively inspire and challenge the team and agency resulting in high quality, effective and engaging outputs.
Develop a good balance between original and engaging conceptual ideas and the commercial need to deliver on deadlines.
Drive on time delivery through careful management of the seasonal calendar.
Develop a strong relationship with the design team to interpret product technologies for consumer communication.
Understand the multi channel business and maximise opportunities by linking the teams together.
Work in a collaborative style, cross functionally to deliver highly effective marketing activities.
Introduce relevant KPI's within the department and report results to the business as required.
Provide data and information to help the Marketing Director make strategic and conceptual decisions.
Use brand experience, insight gained throughout the business and personal experience to influence go to market direction.
Develop our understanding of the Rohan customer and identify opportunities for new customer acquisition.
Intuitively understand the products, collections and use this knowledge to develop strong customer interest, engagement and sales.
You will also;
Proactively work across departments to encourage successful working relationships and share passion for the brand.
Responsible for the direction and output of the marketing team, while jointly contributing to the output of the graphics and studio team.
Ensure production of mailing programmes is on time, accurate, within budget and successful in terms of sales – KPIs at the time, flexible data driven approach
Support the Marketing Director to create all collateral for use within Rohan, including written content for digital and visual content and ensure all collateral is presented according to the brand guidelines.
Brief, challenge and manage the creative agency to generate highly effective seasonal campaign content most commercially suitable for Rohan marketing; impactful and engaging across all channels.
Reporting – provide weekly analysis and learnings from marketing activity
Budgeting – working with the Marketing Director to set, manage, hit and report on all sales, budgetary and profit requirements and goals.
Drive, support and increase engagement and impact for the Gift Your Gear initiative ensuring sales and donation targets are met alongside charitable goals and aspirations.
Lead the team to maximise exposure and relevant KPIs for PR, Events, Influencers and 3rd party Partnerships/ Suppliers.
Develop an engaging, consistent and appealing copy style to use across all channels.
Work closely with the content/ graphic team/ CSR on the generation and production of engaging content for use across print and digital channels.
You will possess the following knowledge & experience;
Experience of marketing and management within multi channel retail
An excellent level of attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and/or requirements

Ability to work at pace and to tight deadlines
Lead, develop and inspire a growing team
A passionate brand advocate with a rigorous approach to data and commerciality
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to quickly build and maintain exceptional relationships cross functionally
A keen outdoors person with an inherent understanding of technical clothing products
