The Role of The Brand Manager:
You will collaborate with the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of rolling 12 to 18-month marketing plans, programs, and strategies for assigned brands to include: advertising, promotions, collateral, market research, social media, website, and packaging. The Brand Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic 3 – 5-year plan for business planning and activity planning.
Qualifications and Experience Required of The Brand Manager:
Degree level qualification in marketing, desired.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in consumer package goods marketing.
Contribution in the development of marketing plans, collateral development, and tactical execution
Experience implementing and analysing data from a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet sales and marketing goals within budget and established timelines.
Development and execution of promotional concepts, providing strategic direction, creative briefings, and appropriate levels of critical feedback
New product development and/or channel marketing relevant training
Successful development of marketing plans and collateral development
Initiates and performs work assignments under minimal supervision that may be routine, semi-routine and complex in nature.
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources
Development of promotional concepts, providing direction, creative briefings, and appropriate levels of meaningful feedback. Responsibilities of The Brand Manager:
You will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic 3 – 5 year plan for business planning and activity planning.
You will develop & communicate brand strategy. Review data to gain understanding of shopper and channel insights, along with brand strategic growth drivers to develop the plans. Identify opportunities for NPD, Promotions, Pack formats, POS, Packaging and Pricing to achieve business growth goals with customers. Effective communication of plans to key stake holders internally and externally.
Partners with Sales Team to develop strategic customer plans and customer selling materials including marketing intelligence and brand insights in creation of customer promotional plans and category management proposals.
Proactively monitors and controls key initiatives, appropriate budgets, plans, programs, and measures of success to achieve required EBITDA and sales goals.
Analyses market trends and competitive activity through utilisation of market analysis and trends, customer, market, and financial information to project business demands and performance to achieve brand goal.
Develops new designs and packaging artworks for products within the SKU mix and provides updates to Sales and Customer Services.
Responsible for directing the creation of all tactical requirements including collateral, point-of-purchase materials, emailer campaigns, sampling programs, sales promotion initiatives, photography, video, online content etc.
Briefs new product requirements including formula development and proposed claims to R&D and Operations teams in line with end user insights and market trends.
Works with E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager to determine appropriate brand representation on brand and customer websites. Oversee online marketing activity (communications, website and social media) via 3rd party agencies.
