Bid Manager – home based
Basic salary up to £40,000 + benefits
This is a fixed term 12 month contract initially but has potential to become permanent
A great opportunity has arisen to join a multi national organisation in a fixed term 12 month contract as a Bid Manager. You'll be joining a fantastic team, working closely with both national and regional sales teams as well as the sales support function as a whole. The Role:
* This is a remote role, working from home supporting a national sales team
* You'll be co-ordinating the bidding process for all key account opportunities throughout the business and coaching and supporting the sales teams locally for more regional tender requests.
* The key to this role is creating engaging and accurate bids and tenders by engaging the relevant subject matter experts, bringing together a project team and then using Adobe Indesign to bring the document to life with client branding, infographics and images.
* Managing all admin related to notifications of intent to bid, identifying and tracking opportunities to submit bids through the existing portals and you'll also have an involvement into the decision of whether to bid or not.
* You will be continuously improving and updating the bid library to ensure the most up to date and accurate information is available to regional teams as well as key accounts tendering.
* You will also respond to clients and stakeholder queries throughout the tender process to ensure everyone is updated at all times.
The Person:
* We're looking for someone with strong bid writing experience who is creative and can make sure sales collateral is really compelling in terms of design as well as content.
* You'll have experience using Adobe Indesign as well as standard Microsoft packages
* We need a great communicator who can engage with the sales teams, clients and the sales support team as a whole to bring together effective project groups who buy into the engagement of the process.
* You'll be comfortable monitoring portals for opportunities and juggling multiple tenders and bids at the same time – the ability to prioritise is key.
* Data analysis skills are needed and a strong eye for detail.
The Package:
* The basic salary will be up to £40,000 per annum

* Although this is initially a fixed term 12 month maternity cover contract, there is potential of a permanent opportunity becoming available at the end of the 12 month period.
