Assistant Brand Marketing Manager
Our client is an exciting engineering company who design and manufacture electronic systems. They thrive on technical innovation and have grown steadily since its formation in the 90s, employing more than 100 people across three locations.
They are looking for an Assistant Brand Marketing Manager to strengthen it’s existing Marketing Team. The successful candidate will have at least three years’ experience across the full marketing mix ideally gained working in an engineering or technical marketing environment promoting complex products to a B2B audience.
The role will work across various brands. If you join the team, you will be involved in supporting the Marketing Manager in the delivery of the global, B2B marketing strategy. You will be required to manage the social media channels and websites, generate content, deliver multi-channel targeted campaigns, and contribute to the success of international events.
Alongside a creative flair and strong copy writing skills, the role also requires confident use and generation of data, reports and analytics to inform decisions and activity.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Marketing Manager in all areas of implementing the global marketing strategy positioning brands
Develop key marketing materials and content to support multi-channel campaign activation and complete post-campaign analysis
Day to day management of social media channels including content planning and creation, monitoring and reporting
Ensure website content is accurate and up to date at all times. Utilise analytics to drive new content creation and improvements to the user experience
Plan and execute digital content and communications plan to build brand awareness and engagement
Track and report sales enquiries to identify trends, opportunities and inform audience profiles
Create and maintain product brochures and data sheets
Assist in the coordination of photoshoots, filming and events to ensure staffing, products and marketing materials are delivered as required
Manage the global distributor marketing programme to ensure all creative assets are shared in a timely manner and requests for local country edits are delivered
Take ownership of marketing communications including customer emails, delivery of advertising plan and creatives (print and digital), editorial features, sponsored content and event communications
Required Skills
A degree or other formal qualification in marketing or business studies
At least 3 years’ experience of working in an engineering or technical marketing environment promoting complex products to a B2B audience
Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical products and applications
Experience of managing social media accounts and ability to develop and deliver digital content strategies
Understanding of website management best practice and ability to independently deliver engaging content
Excellent copy writing skills with requirement to write for print, digital, editorial, case study and video scripts
Excellent data handling skills including digital analytics and sales reporting
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookup
Proven track record of delivering creative marketing campaigns for a technical product
