Yard Worker
Westcott, Aylesbury
£23,970 per annum (£10.24 per hour) Plus Benefits including Pension, BUPA Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 20 Days’ Holiday (rising with service)

Olleco is on a mission to help protect the planet, working together with thousands of food service businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by hundreds and thousands of tonnes. We are now looking for a Yard Worker to join our team and help us to continue to do things the right way for customers, colleagues and the planet.
 
With over 1,000 colleagues in multiple sites nationwide delivering excellent performance, we supply premium cooking oils and collect organic waste, which is then converted into bio-methane, electricity, heat and organic fertiliser. We offer the human touch with local, community-based depots which seek to give back to those communities every chance we get.

This is the role that’s on offer for the right person:
 
 – Ensure all tasks are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner
 – Loading and unloading food waste barrels from trailers
 – Emptying and cleaning barrels
 – Using a combination of manual handling and Forklift trucks to complete tasks
 – Undertaking the day-to-day operation of the barrel processing and working as a team with the other processors
 – Performing tasks as appropriate to ensure the continuous and effective performance of the facility
 – Acting in a timely manner to maximise operational performance
 
 To join the team, you will need:
 
 – High Health & Safety standards and sound knowledge of safety practices
 – Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
 – Experience in manual labour or an industrial related field is desirable
 – Experience of working on a mobile plant would be beneficial
