Purpose of the role
We are looking for someone to work with our senior leadership team on a short term 3-6 month basis and successfully deliver our transformation programme. We are looking for an expert in transformation and project delivery who can ensure our project is effectively tracked, resourced and managed. You will engage with stakeholders across our 4 sites in the UK, bringing them on-board and keeping them up to speed on progress while proactively identifying and unblocking risks / issues. In addition you will provide expertise, support and direction to projects within the programme.
This is a short term assignment and we will consider candidates working both inside and outside of IR35.
About the role
Manage the transformation portfolio of the waste treatment business
Review, amend and agree changes to the portfolio based on strategic/operational priorities and resources. Set direction, targets and communicate these effectively to all team members and stakeholders
Develop and manage of programme governance including the project framework utilised to manage projects within the programme
Support in the discovery / design phase of projects, proactively identifying and agreeing benefits with project sponsors and leads
Provide assurance to the programme to ensure it is meeting its objectives and outcomes, and that projects deliver/exceed the target benefits
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with key individuals
Prepare programme updates for steering group, exec and Ferrovial as required
Regularly review project plans and resource with project managers / business leads to identify and pre-empt resourcing conflicts. Identify, resolve and / or escalate risks and issues with proposals if it cannot be resolved within the team
Management of steering group, ensuring they are informed and provided with accurate information to support effective decision making and options to resolve risks / issues
Ensure projects are effectively tracked and managed, supporting with pulling together terms of reference, plans and benefits tracking
Support project teams in building, managing and tracking against the plan
Management of project budget and benefits realisation
Provide challenge to project teams and the programme to move forward at pace, understanding what can be done to drive/accelerate delivery
Carry out line manager duties as required
