Test Technician

We are hiring TEST TECHNICIAN for our client in Buckinghamshire.
You will be responsible for the testing of thermal chambers, furnaces and accessories (standard & custom) to ensure they meet the required performance and quality level.

This includes the assembly of mechanical and electrical accessories that form part of final unit and system test.
In addition, has the responsibility for identifying training needs of team members and providing training / coaching to ensure those needs are met and aide in the further development of team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Able to use a wide range of mechanical hand tools and power tools
Can carry out mechanical assembly work using safe working practises
Can understand and follow engineering assembly drawings as well as written & verbal instructions
Safe and knowledgeable use of lifting and handling equipment
Able to carry out basic electrical testing using multi-meters, meggers etc
Computer literate with the ability to use and understand the stock control functions of IFS, Agile, to enter data into MS Excel and to use e-mail
Good basic numeracy skills
Is well organised and has a methodical & disciplined approach to following procedures
An effective communicator who works well as part of a team and independently using own initiative
Able to work to strict timescales and remain calm under pressure
Is reliable and can be flexible on working hours, willing to work overtime to meet the needs of the business
A can-do' attitude when faced with challenges

• 2 years' experience working on electronic assemblies, fault finding to unit / wiring level on analogue and digital assemblies
• General computer literacy
• Working knowledge of Mechanical and Hydraulic systems and demonstrate safety requirements to standards

Full time, permanent position
Salary: £24,000/yr
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Friday: 7:00 am to 12:30 pm
