Technical Lead Packaging
Based in Buckinghamshire

The Client:
Our client is a global organisation who for over 50 years have been manufacturing and supplying range of brands for high performance products that provide specialist support to a range of industries. They would like to employ a technical packaging specialist to join their team and support with NPD and technical issues working closely with their suppliers.
NPD & Product Changes:
⦁ Manufacturing coordination of new products and products changes
⦁ Lead product trial runs with first tier suppliers
⦁ Work with QA, R&D and Operations, to assess variations in new and altered products with first tier suppliers and manufacturers
⦁ Working closely with R&D and compliance to develop NPD processes
⦁ Ensure BOMs are updated accurately on company system
⦁ Asses and present suggestions to improve prices, or reduce costs
⦁ Assist with new manufacturing projects making suggestions on quality improvements, price reductions and supplier changes
⦁ Contributes to development and refinement of packaging specifications
Trouble Shooting:
⦁ Resolve supply and technical issues related to packaging collaborating with Quality, R&D and Operations
⦁ Route Cause Analysis, providing a detailed diagnosis and recommendations
⦁ Monitor and evaluate progress of agreed solutions
⦁ Provide an oversight mainly on primary packaging, working with external design and manufacturing to deliver packaging solutions for new products and product improvement and variation
The Person:
⦁ Proven experience within a technical function in packaging (NPD, R&D)
⦁ Packaging degree advantageous
⦁ Strong design knowledge
⦁ Project experience within Europe desirable
