Job Title: Senior Quality Supervisor

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: £30k-£35k Depending on Experience

Search are currently working with an innovative and progressive beverage manufacturing business. My client has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Supervisor to join their production site in Buckinghamshire.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Senior Quality Supervisor will be responsible for managing
the day-to-day activities of the quality team, allocating tasks as required.
You will be responsible for monitoring the quality, environmental, hygiene, food safety and
microbiological standards across the site; leading internal audits and ensuring effective root
cause analysis and closeout of non-conformances in conjunction with site teams. Your key
focus will be on compliance, key quality/food safety-related training and support. You will also ensure continuous improvement of standards across the business and conduct routine
product testing and evaluation activities as required.

The successful candidate will have a real focus on accuracy, will adopt a logical and
methodical approach, be tenacious and have the communication and persuasion skills to
ensure that quality is on the agenda of all members of the factory team.

What you'll bring…

* Experience working within an FMCG environment, ideally food and drink based
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead a high performing team
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of HACCP, BRC, GMP standards
* Understanding of the relevant statutory regulations relating to food safety and quality
* Knowledge of food microbiology and understanding of industry-standard micro testing methods is desirable.
* Influencer – has the communication and persuasion skills to ensure that quality is on the agenda of all members of the factory team and that everyone understands the importance of adhering to high standards.
* Leadership – has the ability to lead a team through change and development. Adheres to Barr Behaviours. Has the ability to raise the profile of the function through consultative methods and expert advice. Can adopt a partnering approach collaborating across boundaries.
* Attention to detail – with a real focus on accuracy, will ensure that all policies, procedures and documentation are precise and kept up to date.
* Completer finisher – will adopt a logical and methodical approach and can be relied upon not to give up and to see jobs through from start to finish.
* Robust – demonstrates a compliant approach and does not allow quality to be compromised.
* Will be flexible when required but will rely on facts, figures and acceptable tolerances, rather than being swayed by perceptions or strong characters, when making important quality decisions or when conducting impartial audits.
