Senior Protoype Wireman

My client are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Prototype Wireman to join our Assembly Division Engineering team. The right candidate will work in partnership with the external sales teams to produce proposals for new assembly business managing projects throughout the Engineering, Quotation and Production phases for our value-added services. This is a Great Opportunity to become a Senior Prototype Wireman.

Responsibilities of the Senior Prototype Wireman:

Daily management of department enquiries from sales teams and external customers.

Creation of proposals against electrical/mechanical schematics and BOM’s for industrial applications.

Project manage multiple works orders to completion through the business supporting the Production Team on all technical and design aspects of the build process.

Support of Inspection & Test of assemblies as required.

When required, liaise between non-franchise suppliers and Purchasing Department regarding price and availability of new product required for production.

Experience of the Senior Prototype Wireman:

HNC/D in electrical engineering (or equivalent electrical engineering qualification) is highly desirable.

Application and product knowledge of Industrial Control & Automation components in line with Routeco’s franchise offering would be advantageous (Rockwell Automation, Rittal, Weidmuller, SMC, Phoenix Contact, Puls…)

Previous experience within an electrical engineering / panel building role would be advantageous.

An understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and drawing packages such as ePlan.
