Our client is a large scale international, market leading manufacturing / engineering business with plans for further large-scale capex investment. The positions offers opportunities for further training and personal development. With a network of factories and manufacturing plants across the UK we are now seeking a Quality Technician to be based at one of their manufacturing plants close to the Milton Keynes area. The position is working days Monday to Friday and is to support and maintain Quality Processes and procedures in across their production and manufacturing operations.
The role will be reporting to the HSEQ manager providing excellent opportunities for personal and career development. This will be supported with a training and development program, also supported significant and sustained investment capex investment across the site.

Basic salary circa £35k per annum, plus training and personal development opportunities, and pension, 33 days holiday per annum
A days-based position with flexible working hours available, e.g. 8am to 4.30pm, 9am to 5pm etc Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities of Quality Technician
* Internal Auditing of all areas engineering/manufacturing areas
* Customer Focused / resolving customer Issues
* Quality Inspections / Ensure product conformity
* Oversee Documentation control – company form register
* Raising of NCRs / Corrective Actions
* Support Continual Improvement Initiatives
* Training of key processes to shop floor personnel
* Monitoring / upkeep of Process Boards
* Upkeep of Skills Matrix / Certification
* Calibration & Issue of all measuring equipment – Micrometres and verniers
* Control off all SSOW
* Oversee specific areas – Weld testing, Salt Spray test
* Collection of Scrap data to drive cost down focus – SPC
* 8d and problem-solving analysis experience
Experience and qualifications required to apply for Quality Technician vacancy
* Working Knowledge of ISO Standards
* Experience in engineering & manufacturing processes
* Good in both written & oral skills to deliver reports to the business & customers
* Ability to work on own initiative & train others
* Manage & influence others to achieve key objectives
* Knowledge of Internal Auditing
* Be able to review and flow chart a process
* Understanding of measuring gauges – Mics / verniers etc
* Understanding of engineering drawings
* Work with suppliers to ensure specifications are met – Steel, Chemical etc
* Computer Literate, knowledge of SAP preferable but not essential
