Senior Quality professional required for a global plastic packaging manufacturer based in Milton Keynes leading a quality team of 5 within a 24/7 operation. Fantastic opportunity to take on more responsibility as a Senior Manager within the business and get involved in CI also!
 
This is a permanent role as Quality Manager based in Kingston, Milton Keynes with a salary up to £50k per annum plus annual bonus @ 10%, 25 days annual leave, Pension Scheme, Life Insurance, Onsite Canteen and Parking! Working hours are days Monday to Friday 7-4/ 8-5 to suit.
 
As an aspirational Quality Manager you will be key in leading the site improvement agenda, ensuring full deployment of the quality strategy, systems and processes. You will lead a team of 5 which includes 4 Quality Inspectors working on shift ensuring you delegate workload effectively, monitor performance and evaluate training and development needs accordingly.
 
You will be expected to maintain compliance to ISO9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 50001, monitor and analyse quality related data using statistical techniques identifying adverse trends and facilitate root cause analysis of quality issues ensuring robust correct actions are implemented. This is a customer facing role where you will be integral in supporting with quality concerns and improvement initiatives.
 
We are keen to hear from applicants with a proven track record as a Quality Manager within a high volume, low margin environment. Detailed knowledge of ISO9001 and Food Safety Standards is required along with internal auditing experience. Plastics, Packaging, or FMCG manufacturing background would be useful. You will have worked in a customer facing role previously with excellent quality and process control knowledge. Advanced Excel and any statistical software skills e.g. MiniTab would be desirable. To develop this role across CI activities you may have Lean manufacturing knowledge including Six Sigma training.
