Our client are a rapidly growing manufacturing company who are looking to appoint an experienced Production Planner.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be need to have experience in the key areas below:
• Plan production tasks and schedules according to demand and customer orders
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders (including Production, Warehousing, Despatch and Sales / Commercial) to ensure that production plans and schedules are fully based on sales forecasts, production capability, storage and handling facilities, and any plant maintenance requirements
• Estimates and communicates need to reorder inventory in line with production changes through the cycle
• Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
• Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.
• Analyse delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines
• Communicate production status to Managers and Customers on regular basis
• Liaise with supplier supply chains to remain fully updated on any events resulting in supply discrepancy or interruption
• Analyse back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations, including promotional calendar
• Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval
• Escalate complex issues to Management Team for assistance in resolution
• Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences
• Assist with outbound supply chain functions and work closely with customer supply chain
• Assist with supply chain tasks directly related to production planning, including task cover for holidays periods

Personal Profile
• Highly experienced Production Planner ideally from FMCG chilled food industry
• An analytically minded candidate with a good head for numbers
• Strong MRP experience
• Capable of maintaining relationships at every stage of the supply chain
• An excellent communicator and presenter at all levels
• Strong minded, determined, hard working
• Process driven
• Adaptable to changes
