We currently require several production operatives upon a PERMANENT basis for a leading manufacturer based in the Kempston Hardwick area of Bedford. The Production operative positions are days based Monday to, paying a basic annual salary of £25,250 to £28,250 per annum, further overtime is available at x 1.5 of the basic rate.

Successful productive operatives will be working within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment for a UK wide leading manufacturer. We are keen to hear from Production operatives, general labourers, Forklift truck drivers (FLT) who have previously worked within a fast paced production environment across any industry sector as the skills and experience will be well aligned to the position.

Key responsibilities of a production operative will lie in the following functional areas:

The production of high-quality products, operating production machinery
Operations of a range of machines as part of a multi-skilled team
The packing of products
Ensure areas are inspected and Health & Safety Standards are maintained, working to Standard Safe Operating Procedures

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AS A PRODUCTION OPERATIVE

Experience of working within a manufacturing, engineering or construction based (industrial environment)
Numerate & literate
High degree of Health & Safety awareness
Setting up and operating machines in a time-sensitive a 'right' first time, target driven environment.
