Working hours for a Production Operative are:

06:00 – 18:00 4 ON 4 OFF

18:00 – 06:00 4 ON 4 OFF

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Production Operative you will play a leading part within the production/support team to help achieve the daily plan whilst adhering to procedures, rules and processes set out by management and other key functions.

You will work in a safe and time effective manner in accordance with health and safety standards and to assist the supervision and management team in ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are achieved at all times.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

Operate tools, machines, and equipment, to assist in the manufacturing process of all products

Ensure daily production plan is achieved and any issues reported in a timely manner

Ensure that product is produced within food safety, hygiene and quality standards

Keep the work area clean and tidy, free from debris and waste

Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and returned to the correct storage area

Load and unload vehicles as and when requested

Complete any other tasks required within the department as requested or directed by management, e.g. assisting with staff sales

Carry out work in a safe manner

Complete all paperwork as instructed accurately and within time specifications

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Reliability and good timekeeping

Good Knowledge of basic food hygiene / health and safety principles.

Comfortable to work in a chilled environment and handle raw and cooked meat.

Good Literacy & numeracy levels

The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
