The Job

The prime focus of this Production Manager is the people management by leading and motivating the team. The process is very manual so the team is close to 50 people to keep up with demand and pace of production, the majority of the team are semi-skilled with the addition of team leaders. Secondary to leadership style duties the Production manager will be responsible for liaising with other departments to solve any technical issues or to report on production updates.

The company

They work with some World famous companies across the Automotive, Aerospace, MOD and Motorsport industries. They have an established manufacturing process currently and a product that is in high demand, so are constantly busy and pushing to meet deadlines. Their workshop is big, very clean and specially kitted out for them and located conveniently just on the outskirts of MK centre.

Experience

Relevant experience for this role would include a proven record of leading a team within a production environment. Relevant engineering environments can be broad but an assembly operation would be advantageous. Their manufacturing is reactive and fast paced so someone must come with a pragmatic approach to the companies demands for Production.
