Description
The key responsibilities for the successful Logistics Specialist will include:
Developing planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply chain.
Monitoring and adjusting parameters in the planning system.
Use of common processes tools, and information systems.
Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
Execute the daily operational logistics processes.
Identify potential supply chain failures and mitigate associated risks.
Work closely with stakeholders – internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.
Use the logistics system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
Participate in functional process improvement teams.
Profile
The successful Logistics Specialist will have the following attributes:
Knowledge of warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse.
Project Management skills – Establishes and maintains the "Balanced Triangle" of Scope, Schedule and Resources for a temporary effort (a "project").
Ability to optimize work processes – Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Be able to drives results – Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
Customer focus – Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Communicates effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Builds effective teams – Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
Knowledge of different transport modes, and which will be most applicable to the given task.
Be self motivated and self sufficient.Essential requirements:
Be immediately available to start.
Forklift truck license.
Full driving license.
Live within commutable distance of Milton Keynes.Job Offer
A competitive hourly rate is on offer for the successful Logistics Specialist. The contract will also run for a minimum of 12 months with possible extension or transition into permanent contract
