Working with a client in Milton Keynes, we are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist to manage shipments in a small logistics area. This is a hands-on role as day to day tasks include shipping outgoing goods to sister companies, shipping test products to and from test houses (often batteries and other dangerous goods) and sourcing packaging for dangerous goods. This role is temporary in nature until the end of March 2022, however may result in a permanent contract.
To be considered you MUST have a valid FLT licence which has been refreshed in the past 2 years, a current, full driving licence. You will need to have experience in a similar role.
The role is to plan and maintain daily operations in one or more logistics function (such as transportation and warehousing), ensuring internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met. This will involve developing planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply chain Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system. The use of common processes tools, and information systems. Analysing and interpreting KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implementing action plans. Executing daily operational logistics processes. Identifying potential supply chain failures and mitigating associated risks. Working closely with stakeholders – internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements. Use of the logistics system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain. Participating in functional process improvement teams.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
B.S or B.A in applicable field
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
