Logistics dispatch administrator – Permanent position – £18,137.60 – £20,612.80

Our client, a UK leading engineering company, is looking for an experienced Logistics dispatch administrator to support all dispatch of inventory, based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
£8.72 – £9.91ph – Salary £18,137.60 – £20,612.80
Working Monday to Friday
Contracted to 40 Hours per week
25 days holiday & Pension scheme
As a Logistics administrator you will be a vital part in the operation; You will oversee all aspects of dispatch of the inventory, from taking ownership of the labelling of the goods, organising the hauliers for dispatch & ensure time slots to ensuring all paper work is completed correctly.
Ideally you will come from a logistics’ background with an FTL licence (Reach or Counterbalance) as aspects of your role will require you to obtain products from the warehouse. Using your experience to ensure to materials supply matches production requirements whilst using the MRP system to confirm demands and log the inventory.
You will drive continuous improvement in this fast-paced environment, by working with the team to develop processes and whilst ensuring that costs are managed, quality is guaranteed, and delivery targets are achieved.
Core Responsibilities:
Managing and operating the material element of the business logistics / transport
Have skills and desire to motivate team and support internal and external customers
To identify dispatch locations and ensure accurate MRP inventory
To ensure finished stock is located in correct location in a timely manner
To ensure the warehouse area is to excellent housekeeping standards
Ensuring materials supply matches production requirements
To ensure all stores personal are trained and work in a professional manner
Purchasing and store materials to ensure compliance with Special Stock procedures.
Identify, confirm demands via MRP
Ensure all incoming material is weighed and booked into stores in correct procedure
To process all goods in paperwork and updating PC stock system
To book in items from couriers and facilitate to owner
Work closely with the planning team to ensure minimum transport costs throughout supplier base
To manage stillage movement in / out of stores to ensure stillages remain in supplier chain.
To ensure all labelling meets customer’s expectation per stillage.
To manage logistics hauliers in / out in timely manner
To ensure slots for transport in / out suitably arrange and executed
Experience/Skills & Competencies:
Must have 6 months experience of dispatch administration
Must have good numerical, analytical skills & an acute attention to detail
Must have excellent communicating skills both verbal and written.
Must have experience of stock management & sound knowledge of stock control systems would be highly desirable
Strong IT skills & systems knowledge required
Must be able to work proactively on independent tasks & deliver projects as part of team.
