IT Support Analyst – PERMANENT ROLE – £10 – 12ph
Are you an experienced IT Support Analyst looking for a new exciting challenge?
Our client, a UK leading engineering company, is looking for an experienced IT Support Analyst to support their Group IT function across 2 sites, both based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
£10 – 12 ph
Working Monday to Friday – Some flexibility will be required to ensure all IT is supported
Contracted to 40 Hours per week
25 days holiday & Pension scheme
As a IT Support Analyst will be a vital member of company operation, you will be working alongside the alongside the Group IT Manager, to ensure the all IT solutions are fit for purpose. Working closely with the different departments, you will advise of best practises and provide solutions to diagnose issues and fix faults to drive continuous improvement.
Using your experience as a IT Support Analyst, you will ensure all issues are logged and managed within set timeframes. This is a varied role that might see you assisting with the deployment of new MRP Applications, implementing new telephony platforms, PC installs, Server Administration as well as some end user assistance/training
Core Responsibilities:
Perform Business Analysis, to find out what the business/clients want and to advise them objectively on where IT might make a difference to the business.
Provide action plans to correct areas of concern and how each stage affects the business, implementing new technologies when necessary
Manage and prioritise work/helpdesk tickets, with assistance from the Group IT Manager
Keeping management and clients updated on progress of issues
Update and maintain any existing documentation, such as Policies and Procedures e.g. New Starter and Leaver process, Acceptable User Policies
Update and maintain the IT Asset Register
Daily Backup checks, Manage Anti-Virus, Manage Spam Filtering & Virus diagnosis and removal in the event of an incident
Office 365 Exchange service support
Virtual Machines – Management of VMs (Hyper V or VMWare)
System Administrator experience – Active Directory, DHCP, WSUS, File Server Resource Manager.
User Management – Setting up and removal of users
Archiving Data – Shared and/or individual User data
Security – Access Control Management
Group Policy Management – Software deployment, permissions, printer deployments, Windows Updates
Printer Management – Working with existing and installing local and network printers. Managed Print Solutions (Papercut)
Networking experience, client-server environments, PC Installs, laptop configuration
Cable runs, CAT 5/6 and cables where necessary
Setting up and Maintaining Virtual Private Networks – VPN remote access
Assist and provide support for any 3rd Party applications, for example ERPs (EFACS, WinMan. This is only basic support such as users where necessary)
Logging and processing support calls/requests
Experience/Skills & Competencies:
Must have 2 years’ experience in an IT Support role
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have a positive & proactive, flexible attitude to resolve issues and challenges
Must have experience in the following Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows Server, all versions including SBS. Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10)
Must have Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange & and Office suite
Must have experience using Microsoft Access and/or Excel (ability to perform data analysis, using formulas and/or queries to improve current data logging)
Must be capable of managing & adapting to fluid & changing priority workloads
