JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure that all site services are maintained as per the schedule outlined, maintain the operation of all site plant to minimise downtime. Work with the infrastructure manager to deliver the best possible level of conformance for the business.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

To conduct site Infrastructure design and maintenance, whilst complying with company and legislative health & safety, food safety and personal hygiene procedures and regulations.

Ensure that agreed standards GMP standard are maintained and Green results are achieved on weekly audits by the technical team.

Liaise with Shift manager/ Manager/ Engineering Department with regards to any serious Engineering issues.

To assist with any out of hours issues that take place and act accordingly (weekend working)

Complete daily servicing and checks on the water towers. This requires the employee to hold a valid legionella awareness certificate.

Ensure regular cleaning of the drainage system is carried out by the assigned contractor to a satisfactory level.

Carry out daily inspection on the main fridge plant.

Carry out daily inspections on the main air compressors and driers.

Walk the roof void once a week and identify and repair any leaks.

Factory fabrication outside side of FMP and High-Risk including gates and fencing.

Report all short fall and concerns to the Engineering manager daily.

Ensure site electrical works are carried out to the latest standards, fixed wiring and PAT testing is carried out in required time scales a long with any remedial works.

You have a responsibility to ensure that you fully comply with the company policy on Health & safety and Environment In accordance to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems in all aspects of your working environment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experience of working as an Engineer, ideally in a food manufactory environment.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

BOAS trained – can be provided.

Legionella awareness trained.

Welding Stainless.

Fault finding.

Good mechanical skills.

To be representative of the company's high standards always and to conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to react positively as areas of concern affect the performance of the factory.

Approaches tasks with a can do attitude and has the ability to think of creative solutions to problems.

Have good attention to detail and a passion for the job.

Must be able to work well in a team.

Able to overcome issues in the workplace in a professional manner.

Always conduct yourself in a responsible and courteous manner.

Flexibility to cover as and when required.

Adopt a continuous improvement mentality.

Be forward-thinking with ways to better the business and processes surrounding it.
