Working hours for a Hygiene Operative are:
06:00 – 18:00 4 ON 4 OFF
18:00 – 06:00 4 ON 4 OFF
JOB PURPOSE:
As a Hygiene Operative you will play a leading part within the production/support team and ensure all the machinery is cleaned to a high standard to help achieve the daily plan whilst adhering to procedures, rules and processes set out by management and other key functions.
You will work in a safe and time effective manner in accordance with health and safety standards and assist the supervision and management team in ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are achieved at all times.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
* Deep clean of manufacturing machinery
* Disassemble and assemble of factory machinery
* Keep the work area clean and tidy, free from debris and waste
* Ensure that the correct chemicals are used and at the correct strength
* Ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out in a timely and safe manner
* Ensure that cleaning tasks are carried out to the correct specification as per the Cleaning rules
* Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and returned to the correct storage area
* Carry out work in a safe manner
* Complete all paperwork as instructed accurately and within time specifications
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Reliability and good timekeeping
* Good Knowledge of basic food hygiene / health and safety principles.
* Comfortable to work in a chilled environment and handle raw and cooked meat.
* Good Literacy & numeracy levels
* The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
