£40,000 to £45,000 plus Benefits

A FMCG manufacturing company are looking for a Health & Safety and Facilities Manager. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of Health and Safety compliance and facilities management within the company to maintain a safe working environment. You will have a strong understanding of health & safety standards and experience working within a fast paced environment in a similar role.
As an Health & Safety and Facilities Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.
Providing a safe working environment for staff in all areas, ensuring the premises meet H&S requirements and that facilities comply with HSE regulations.
Organising and managing the H&S training and competency framework.
Implementing risk assessments and safe systems of work for all areas within the company.
Working closely with all managers to achieve health & safety goals and continuously improve working standards.
Ensuring all health and safety related documents are kept up to date and auditable
Managing work wear and PPE for all employees.
Manage and update management, Fire Wardens, First Aiders etc on any new legislation.
Ensure that Health and Safety is given due consideration and priority in all aspects of the business.
Develop and monitor Risk Assessment and make recommendations to ensure a safe effective workplace.
Manage and maintain the sites COSHH processes to ensure data sheets are available and that effective Risk Assessments are in place.
Evaluating quotes from utilities and energy suppliers, making recommendations on cost-effectiveness grounds, monitoring supplier performance.
Monitor and review external contractors and contracts to ensure best price.
Ensure the internal and external areas of the site is maintained to a high standard especially public facing areas.
Plan and manage regulatory checks carried out by an external contractor, such as asbestos, legionella and emergency lighting
Carry out and plan building refit and refurbishments throughout each site ensuring compliance, regulation, health, and safety
An exciting opportunity for an Health & Safety and Facilities Manager with the following.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualified with experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing or fast paced supply chain environment.
Experienced conducting risk assessments, health & safety training and accident investigations.
Passionate in health & safety and implementing standards across the manufacturing facility
Confident in seeking facilities providers and negotiating contracts.
Excellent interpersonal, organisation and effectively communicate orally and in writing, both internally and externally.
Able to work on own initiative and have a motivated self-learning style.
