The businesses offer a unique combination of services to an enviable OEM client list as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier.
The Group Engineering Manager is a key appointment and will enjoy significant levels of autonomy and responsibility. The successful appointee, working closely with Board, will challenge existing practices and lead the group engineering and manufacturing continuous improvement process in the business.
THE ROLE- GROUP ENGINEERING MANAGER
This is a new position created by growth and improvements in our senior management structure.
The Group Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment or plants. Responsible for operational excellence via efficient plant design ensuring continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, and production.
Engaging with all departments, responsibility is to continually develop and direct all areas of the business in engineering. Reporting directly to the group Plant and Production Director the appointment will be key to their continued success.
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
Qualifications: Must have a suitable Engineering degree and/or time served mechanical apprenticeship.
* Proven manufacturing background leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
* An in-depth knowledge of the Automotive Industries, either at OEM, First or Second Tier level.
* Must have an in-depth knowledge of Press Tooling at design and manufacturing level
