Purpose of the role

As part of a small sales and marketing team the role involves quotation preparation, supporting existing business and maintaining current customer relationships, as well as developing new business opportunities.  Additionally, will involve customer facing activity within the UK as well as conference attendance.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting internal and external sales staff

Preparation of quotes

Managing sales follow up and reporting activities

Customer relationship management

Supporting development of new business opportunities

Participating in sales and marketing activities – including exhibition attendance

Visiting UK based customers in a technical sales capacity

Qualifications / Essential Skills

Good first degree in material science, chemistry, physics or a related discipline

Experience of commercial or customer facing role would be highly desirable although training will be provided

Working experience of compound semiconductor materials would be highly desirable
