Food Production Operative

Gi Group are excited to recruit for a progressive Food Company and well known supermarket Brand.

The position will be to assist with daily production tasks from correctly weighing out ingredients to be processed to palletising the finished products. Encompassing an inclusive position where you will learn the entire process that goes into making these delicious products, maximising efficiency whilst maintaining low waste levels, maximising outputs and working if a safe environment ensuring the highest quality of product is produced.

Job Type: Temp to Perm, Permanent positions are available for the right candidates 12 weeks in or sooner.

Hours: Full Time
4 days on, 4 days off
Days: 6am to 6pm
Nights: 6pm to 6am

Salary:
Days: £9.30ph – Increases to £9.50ph after 12 weeks of employment
Night: £9.50ph – Increases to £10.50ph after 12 weeks of employment

Location: Kingston, Milton Keynes
Responsibilities:
– Correctly measuring and weighing ingredients
– Assisting in packing various products
– Generally keeping work area clean and tidy
– Minimising product waste
– Lowering production cost
– Using your own initiative to complete daily tasks in the warehouse
– Operating machinery and equipment
– Carrying out food quality and food safety
– Complying with hygiene policies and procedures
– Helping the team to meet production and food processing targets.

– Good communicator
– (preferred) previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment
– Willing to develop and progress within a market leading food manufacturer
