Warehouse Manager / Factory Supervisor

TSRN are working in partnership with a leading Manufacturer who are recruiting an experienced Factory Supervisor to manage a small production team in Milton Keynes. The ideal person will need to be an hands on manager and happy to lead from the front working a weekly day shift.

This role will require the suitable candidate to lead a small team of production operatives, with the key objective to ensure that the products are manufactured and assembled in accordance to the company quality standards.

This is a hands-on production role working from the shop floor and you will be required to demonstrate and exercise leadership, team building, training and staff motivational skills

Key duties may include:

To ensure that all products are manufactured, assembled or otherwise processed and packed to agreed quality standards

To be responsible for ensuring that production schedules are maintained and that cost and waste targets are achieved

To perform visual inspection of goods from any point during the manufacture and assembly process through to despatch of finished goods.

To carry out visual manufacture, assembly and packing process checks, record findings and report any issues to the Operations and Quality Managers.

To approve despatches by signing off paperwork to acknowledge that agreed quality standards have been met.

To review ongoing build methods and improve, streamline where required.

To liaise with Design and Engineering to update BOM’s, drawings as required.

To promote and ensure compliance of all relevant Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental legislation including housekeeping of all areas

The Successful candidate will have:

Previous supervisory experience in a similar organisation.

Strength of character to be able to effect and facilitate change.

Quality control and procedure orientated.

Excellent leadership skills.

Excellent communication skills.

ERP/MRP System experience preferred.

Good attention to detail.

Flexible, proactive and the ability to work under pressure

This role will be working a day shift of 8.30am to 5-15pm Mon – Friday, offering an attractive salary of up to £30k and 25 days holidays plus a company pension scheme. For further information then please contact Claire on the details below
