Our UK Business unit has six manufacturing plants providing a great place to work for 1800 employees producing private label soft drinks and fruit juices for all the leading retailers including Tesco, ASDA, Morrison’s, Sainsburys, ALDI and Lidl. We also manufacture for branded customers such as Innocent, Ocean Spray, Weetabix, Del Monte and Um Bongo. Whether it’s packed in Cartons, PET, Aseptic PET or Cans, we ensure that our products are not only manufactured to the highest quality standards but they get where they need to be when they need to get there to meet the needs of our high profile customers.
The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer (E2) to join the Day team at our Milton Keynes site.
Working on Days, Monday to Friday you will be responsible for ensuring that legal compliance is maintained on site, specifically in relation to boilers and compressors. You will also provide support to the wider Engineering and Operations teams with dedicated asset care days and planned line maintenance.
Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
* Work closely with the Engineering Team Lead, taking responsibility for delivering a high quality engineering service in support of the achievement of our operational targets.
* Complete the full range of maintenance activities across our assets on site
* Where required, rapidly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and basic control & instrumentation faults
* Complete safety device system checks and isolation activities and immediately report any non-conformances and food safety concerns
* Support the Contractor control process on site
* Support the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards.
* Pro-actively identifying areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems
* Demonstrating a willingness to develop within the role to achieve Excellent Competency Levels
About You
You will be an Apprentice trained or time served Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 City & Guilds / ONC / BTec. Experience working within an FMCG environment, particularly food or drinks, would be beneficial, as would experience working to approved standards and Safe Operating Procedures.
Salary & Benefits
This is a day based role, working 40 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 16:00pm
The roles come with a package including an hourly rate of £17.03 (Engineering: Grade E2) = annual salary of £35,430.72, a company pension scheme, a great holiday allowance and free onsite parking
