Digicon Operator / Digital Print Finisher
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: DOE
Company: A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels company.
Role:
* Operating of finishing equipment producing finished print in compliance with company operating procedures
* Ensure machinery runs at a maximum output, adhering to quality and health & safety standards.
* Proactively manage equipment to achieve maximum quality levels ensuring that all paperwork is completed and up to date to ensure full traceability
* Ensure maximum material utilisation and a reduction of wastage of all materials
* Co-operation with all company systems and department teams in line with health and safety
* Keep workstation and work area tidy and organised
* Manage a schedule of work on an hourly/daily/weekly basis & understand the targets set and the importance of your part in the process
Requirements:
* Experience within the labels/ print/ packaging industry essential
* Ideally experienced working on Digicon S3 (2020) previously with additional lamination, foiling and complex print units, however, other slitting, rewind and finishing equipment will be considered
* Ideally technical knowledge of digital label printing, materials, and tooling (but training can be given)
* Ability to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various size and scope
* Positive "can do" customer focus and attitude
* Develop knowledge of materials available
* Use initiative and resourcefulness to develop new methods, or propose new solutions
* Maintain operating procedures with attention to detail
