CNC Turner
CNC Turner Key accountabilities
* Generate and adapt CNC programmes using relevant programming system.
* Produce Precision components in a production environment.
* Manufacture machined components to engineering drawings, using set work instructions and schedules.
* Work to production targets maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.
* Use manual inspection equipment to perform quality checks.
* Manual turning when required.
* Use of various engineering and workshop equipment when required.
* Be involved in improvement activities.
* Problem solving.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards.
* Have a positive attitude to safety & quality.
* To actively participate in team meetings.
* To carry out TPM on equipment
* To provide technical expertise to support plant requirements.
* Deliver outstanding HSEQ performance every time.
* Provide mechanical knowledge & technical backup for the factory.
* Assist Shift Managers as required.
* Undertake risk assessments and carry out HSEQ audits as required.
* Update technical information as required.
* Lead by example in encouraging teamwork, flexibility, and a culture of continuous improvement.
* Proactively support company / site initiatives
* Undertake risk assessments.
CNC Turner Job requirements
The role holder is expected:
* Apprenticeship trained in machining.
* Production environment experience.
* Extensive machining and manufacturing experience.
* Manual Machining Experience.
* To comply with all aspects of the MDC Precision Hand book and Compliance Policy
* To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place.
* To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation.
* To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required.
* To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company
Education/Qualification
* Approved apprenticeship
* Minimum 5 years CNC Turning experience with proven technical competence.
* Self-motivated
* Able to work with minimal supervision.
* Proactive & flexible attitude
