Have you previously worked as a Buyer / Purchaser? Do you want to work for a market leader in the plastic and chemical industry?
This is a permanent role based in the Milton Keynes area. This Buyers position will provide for the joint supervision of all local site supply administration and inbound supply chain activities. The primary function of the Buyer will be to ensure that all raw materials, goods and services are procured in a timely and cost effective manner in order to ensure continuity of production through controlled raw materials supply.
Buyers Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement of / Call off under contract : Raw materials feedstocks, Packaging, Office equipment, Services, consumables for the Logistics Department etc.
Process purchase orders from requisitions generated by the SAP system for inventory and non-inventory items.
Receive, monitor and distribute as appropriate enquiries from suppliers and internal personnel.
Manage raw material and packaging complaints in line with company procedure.
Liaise with suppliers on day to day matters.
Liaise with Materials Supply and Plant Co-ordinator on a daily basis and provide cover where required.
Manage invoice queries SES/s
Monitor and create invoice declarations as required.
Back up for selected production planning ie process order execution
Key user / back up for SAP raw material procurement, goods and services, invoice and PO generation.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience as a Buyer with at least three years’ experience within a Materials Management, Goods and services supply administration environment. Completed GCSE' to include Maths and Engligh. You must have excellent attention to detail and be computer literate, using SAP and Microsoft Office applications
