We have an immediate opportunity for a Blast Machine Operator to join a busy, ever-growing business specialising in the manufacturing sector. This is a full-time role with the potential of going from temporary to permanent for the right candidate!
Shifts are Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, paying £10.15 initially and rising to £11.15 on the offer of a permanent position or at 12 weeks.
This is a demanding role that will see you spending most of the workday in our client's blasting room, it's a dusty environment so you will be required to wear PPE all day apart from during breaks. This role would suit an experienced operative, however, if you feel you have transferrable skills we'd be keen to talk to you.
To be successful in this role you must be:
Physically fit with good manual handling skills and mental stamina
Hardworking and able to work your own without direct supervision
Able to wear PPE all day (apart from breaks)
Able to work on different 8-hour shift patterns including early, late, and nights Shifts
You will be working a 37 Hour week, Monday to Friday. Shift breakdown is as follows:
Day shift for interim period – 8am-4pm
Early – 5:00-13:00 (Post Covid 05:30-13:30)
Late – 13:30-21:30 (Post Covid 13:00-21:00)
Night – (Post Covid 21:00-05:00) PPE requirement
As Blast Machine Operator, you will be required to wear the following:
FP3 Face Mask (Provided)
Ear Protection (Provided)
Safety Glasses (Provided)
Safety Shoes (Not provided) Other Information & Requirements:
The role is Temp to Perm 3 months
