We are looking for several talented Assembly Operator to join our team specialising in Manufacturing for our New Power Business Segment in Milton Keynes.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months working 35 hours per week Monday – Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm.
Salary is £23,000 – £28,000 depending on experience.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Working as part of an effective production team manufacturing prototype high voltage batteries, electrical harnesses, and associated sub-assemblies in a shop floor environment.
This role involves operating various machines as well as hand and power tools on a production line.
To carry out build and assembly tasks ensuring high quality is maintained while achieving agreed cycle times to meet agreed operations build plans.
Build & assembly of high voltage batteries for various applications.
Harness build & assembly
Build & assembly of mechanical and electrical prototype parts
Read and understand technical drawings & build manuals
Carry out inspection and tests of manufactured components

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Essential

Experience working on mechanical assemblies
Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Ability to maintain a high quality of output
Experience using hand and power tools
Flexible approach to work schedule and to assist in production assembly build plan
Proactive approach towards health and safety
Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Desirable
Experience with high voltage applications
Experience with electrical components build and assembly process
Experience of working on and understanding of production lines.
Understanding of electrical components, and their functionality
Understanding of High Voltage working environments
