Origin is introducing 6 Supervisor Apprenticeship roles in High Wycombe to take ownership of performance management, leaving the manager to support this position. Key Responsibilities of our Supervisor Apprenticeship roles:
Assembly Supervisor:
– The Assembly Supervisor will support/ deputise their team leader in leading the team of operators in a shift taking prepared rectangles through assembly benches.
– The Assembly Team will build up the sets, fit and jig hinges, fit handles, locks, Seals, Beading etc.
– The Supervisor will ensure the quality of the products by visual inspection to prevent defective parts being produced.
– To achieve these objectives while working with the team, the Assembly Supervisor will need to lead, monitor, and develop the Assembly Operators through daily coaching.
Pre-delivery Supervisor:
– The Pre-Delivery Supervisor will support/ deputise their team leader in leading the team of operators in a shift preparing all door sets for delivery to the customers.
– During the delivery preparation, the Pre-Delivery Supervisor will conduct inspections and data will be collected.
– The Supervisor will ensure the quality of the products by visual inspection to prevent defective parts being delivered to customers.
– To achieve these objectives while working with the team, the Supervisor will need to lead, monitor, and develop the Pre-Delivery Operators through daily coaching.
Preparation Supervisor
– The Preparation Supervisor will support/ deputise their team leader in leading the team of operators in a shift taking profiles through Saws; CNC machining; millers/routers; crimpers, etc.
– The Supervisor will ensure the quality of the prepared products by visual inspection to prevent defective parts being produced.
– To achieve these objectives while working with the team, the Preparation Supervisor will need to lead, monitor, and develop the Preparation Operators through daily coaching.
What are we looking for in our ideal candidates for the Supervisor Apprenticeship roles?
– Contribute to the management of safety in the designated area by ensuring staff compliance.
– Ensure all products are visually inspected to prevent defects being processed and sent to customers.
– Ensure Operators will understand, action, and inspect the set accordingly as scheduled and detailed on the Work Order to meet customer delivery dates.
– Ensure products will be prepared with care to ensure they are built up correctly.
– Organise and lead the shift daily.
– Be an effective Team Member able to influence individuals and teams to drive production performance forwards.
– English and Maths Level 2 or 3 (Desirable)
– Willing to take ownership to achieve company targets by influencing others.
– Working capability with IT systems.
– Good knowledge of English language.
