Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Project Portfolio Manager to join their CSR Portfolio Management Office. This role is an immediate start for twelve weeks, working 37hrs a week. This role is working from home and equipment will be supplied. The hourly rate is £21.58ph which equates to £41,526pa.
The PMO Manager will be responsible for the operations within the CSR Portfolio Management Office (PMO), providing services to the full portfolio of CSR programmes and projects.
These duties will include reporting, process compliance, planning, scheduling, estimating, costing and RAID log management. You will be responsible for the line management of a small team within the PMO.
Essential:
Previous experience of working in an IT PMO including line management experience
Proven organisational ability and experience of planning and managing small to medium IT projects or workstreams
Previous experience of working on a large projects portfolio / programme of investment in the range £2m – £10m
Good awareness of modern system development & project methodologies, practices and approaches and strong understanding of the system development life cycle.
